Stolen, again.

Yes... It happened AGAIN! I contacted the shop as soon as I found out and they removed the t-shirts.
They apparently bought the fabric from a manufacturer, without knowing it was stolen. When I asked if they could give me the name of this shop, they unfortunately completely ignored my question.
It's more than probable that other shops have been using this fabric.
I'm just thankful that someone recognised my illustrations and was kind enough to let me know.

But why does it happen so often? I wonder if those are the same people who stole my cat pattern a few months ago. They sure are making money out of my work!

Food illustrations

Eggs benedict

I got to scan a few things yesterday, so I can finally (really) update my blog with some new illustrations! I've decided to re-work on my portfolio and remove a lot of my 'old' artwork.
As always, I'm dreaming of illustrating a cookbook...

These past few weeks

Pumpkin pies and Eggs Benedict

Mamma mia, I haven't posted anything here in a loooong time - but I have a good excuse.

Well, I still haven't got a scanner (money you terrible thing!). Fortunately it didn't/doesn't stop me painting (hum, not really, I did have a long break and some horrible moments, filled with nasty doubts but it's getting kind of better now).

So, if you don't follow me on Instagram here's what I've been up to these past few weeks. Food, cute animals and plants have been my main subjects.

 Jelly bean succulent plant

 Bento

Baby raccoon

More succulents

 Coffee and croissant

Lebkuchen heart

Oliver the cavalier king charles

Pork belly, mushrooms and soft boiled egg

Work in progress

Nabeyaki Udon

My scanner being broken (saving money for a new one is proving to be very difficult) I can only show you some 'work in progress' pictures
from my Instagram. I haven't been able to paint much this month (oh yes, because on top of the dead scanner, my desk* also decided to say
goodbye) and I really miss it. Here's hoping I can get back to it pretty pretty soon!

(I would like to thank everyone who helped and shared my latest post about the stolen illustration.
Your support means a lot to me!)

Fried egg and pepper

And mister Stephen Fry!

*Finally found a desk, just waiting for a scanner now!

Stolen

A few weeks ago, I discovered (thanks to someone on Twitter) that an ebay shop was selling skirts and leggings with my cat pattern.
After researching a little more (yay for google images!), I found that MANY online shops were selling these clothes: RomweSheinside, Oasap...

It's a very frustrating situation, I always share my illustrations the smallest size possible and at 72dpi...
But it obviously doesn't stop these people from stealing.
Does anyone know how to protect your work without adding watermarks?

Please, do not buy these items... And if you feel like sharing this post, I would really appreciate it!

Recently

I've been working on two new food illustrations,

this Geisha,

and a portrait of Jim, my partner! He's a very talented photographer (and if you happen to be in New York this week, he has an exhibition at Photoville)

Cake pattern

After someone stole one of my patterns to make different items of clothing (blogpost coming soon!), I must admit I don't feel so confident sharing my images.
I don't want to put watermarks on my illustrations and I already resize them the smallest possible. Does anyone have a solution?

Anyway here's a yummy pattern, I painted this cake a few weeks ago for Harriet Gray's birthday!
